COMMUNICATIONS AND EDUCATION COORDINATOR

THE NATURE CONSERVANCY - RAJA AMPAT PROGRAM

The Communications and Education Coordinator is responsible for implementing conservation awareness and education campaigns in the Raja Ampat Regency, particularly in helping local stakeholders understand the ecological and economic importance of marine protected areas.
Coordinator will research, write/edit and produce a wide range of communications materials, including fact sheets, brochures, study guides, newsletters, magazine articles, slide shows and multimedia presentations and web content. S/he will coordinate external presentations and public events and provide on-the-job training and capacity building to outreach teams as well as partners. S/he will coordinate TNC's involvement in the "Kalabia" conservation and education program, and will develop a strong working relationship with our partners, to ensure the success of this program.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in biological science, natural resources management, communication or education. Masters decree in any of these fields is an advantage.

* At least 5 years experience in communication, conservation education, community development, social/education science or natural resources management projects.

* Familiarity with the political and cultural environment of Raja Ampat, or Papua in general.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills (in Bahasa Indonesia and English), including public-speaking skills.

* Experience producing high quality education and outreach materials.

* Experience developing and implementing communications and media relations strategies to increase and sustain public awareness of conservation issues is a plus.

* Excellent organizational and proof-reading skills.

* Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.

* Work requires only minor physical exertion and/or physical strain. Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements.

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Duties and Responsibilities
· Act as a focal point for arranging workshops, training and/or
meetings related to TNP2K, Prepare the workshop's materials, arrange the

· Assist in the day to day maintenance of the office and its
facilities
· Assist with office operations in order to assure smooth processes
and procedures
· Assist with office photocopying, filing and typing
· Collecting and filing all meeting attendance list and meeting
result

Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a clerical or administrative works and
preferably with INGO and increasing responsibilities
- Very good team player, with the ability of working on multi-assignments
- Strong knowledge and familiarity in organizing workshops, contacting
participants, organizing events/workshops etc.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Very Good command of English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated to work proactively and take on responsibility
- Proven track record in office management systems and procedures
- Willing to work long hours , hard working and ability to manage tasks
under pressure

The National Team for Accelerating Poverty Reduction has been established
under the Vice President's Office to lead the coordination and oversight of
poverty reduction programs in Indonesia. The position is Jakarta based for
an initial 3-6month contract which will be extendable to long term positions
based on satisfactory performance and budget approval.

Islamic Relief was founded in 1984 in the United Kingdom and currently works in over 30 countries providing support to those in need regardless of race, religion, ethnic, or political affiliations. Because of its existence in Indonesia, Islamic Relief was able to respond in Aceh just one day after the Tsunami struck in 2004. Since then, Islamic Relief has constructed houses, schools, health clinics, sponsorship of needy orphans.

Islamic Relief seeks to hire a committed and experienced person for the following position:

1. HUMAN RESOURCE & Administration coordinator Based in banda aceh and/or Jakarta with frequent field visits
Salary 9–10 million IDR per month nett

Reporting to the Contry Director and as a member of the Senior Management Team, the incumbent will be responsible for providing Human Resource & Organizational Development support to the organization in order to develop and maintain highly skilled and motivated staff through development, review and implementation of human resource management and development policies. S/he should manage the process of organizational change and organization development and promote maintaining an enabling organization culture.

Main duties and responsibilities:
* Contribute to the process of implementation of human resource development and management strategy, policy, guidelines and manuals;
* Assist in planning and management of staff recruitment process;

* Develop, regularly update and maintain a human resource database and management information system;
* Develop & regularly update in collaboration with respective units staff job descriptions for employees of various units and divisions;
* Facilitate timely and efficient staff performance appraisal system;
* Assist in managing and/or redressing human resource related conflicts & grievances, if any;
* Handle change management, and conduct staff orientation & training on HR-related issues, especially employees' rights, entitlements and responsibilities as per HR Manual and other relevant rules and regulations; and
* Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the authority.

Educational requirements:

* Advanced university degree in Public or Business Administration/behavioral sciences with major courses in HRM/ HRD/ Organization Development.

Additional job requirements:
* 5-7 years experience in HR of which at least 3 year should be in senior management position in an international and multicultural environment.
* Substantial experience in leading and managing organizational change.
* Proven experience of leading and developing HR strategies, policies, best practice and standards with gender sensitivity
* Knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and regulation
* Strong verbal and written Bahasa Indonesia and English skills
* Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitivity and integrity
* Innovative problem-solving and demonstrated analytical skills
* Experience in participatory decision-making and have capacity to overcome resistance in implementing changed decisions
* Ability to work at different levels of organization to support organizational change
* Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
* Willingness to work under pressure

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES COORDINATED AND/OR LED BY POSITION:- Ensure the planning for and incorporation of mechanical reliability in "front-end loading" for new / redesigned equipment and facilities.
- Analyze performance using maintenance and reliability metrics and provide recommendations to the organization regarding actions required to improve reliability.
- Keep abreast of advances in reliability technologies and apply them within the operation.
- Mentor personnel on reliability analysis techniques and equipment monitoring and observation skills.
- Develop and maintain a long term reliability improvement plan and budget to ensure continuous improvement in reliability.
- Help develop training systems for maintenance and operations staff, as required to institutionalize condition & performance monitoring practices & strategies.
- Work with systems engineers & IT to implement automated performance data acquisition and online condition/performance monitoring systems, that are integrated with performance metrics, and economic analysis of major maintenance activities.
- Drive/Lead/perform RCFA s on chronic significant failures of major equipment and related ancillary systems.
- Perform reliability studies to identify problem areas and emerging problem areas with equipment, then develop corrective / defect elimination programs to address these problems.
- Drive reliability improvement projects with a sense of urgency.
