[lowongan-beasiswa] [INFO] Bocconi Scholarship for International Students

 

Bocconi University offers up to 40 need-based scholarships to international students enrolling in a Masterof Science Program at Bocconi. The awarding of the scholarship also takes into consideration academicperformances of the students.

THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Scholarship consists of full tuition waiver worth approximately �11.000 per year for a maximum of 2academic years. The renewal of the scholarship is subject to meeting merit criteria.Scholarship applications must be submitted by the same deadline as that of Bocconi on-line admission�s application as stated below.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Only applicants who meet all the following conditions will be taken into consideration for the awarding of the scholarship:- Non-Italian citizenship;- Non-Italian residence;- A non-Italian Undergraduate degree earned abroad or in Italy; - Admission granted for the first year of a Bocconi Master of Science program in the a.y. 2012-2013 (please note that the application must be submitted before admission: this requirement will be considered only at a later stage);Students who meet any of the following conditions will NOT be taken into consideration:- previously enrolled in a graduate program in Italy or abroad;- have earned a graduate level university degree;- recipient of a scholarship awarded for the AY 2012-13 by private or public institutions.

APPLICATION PROCESS AND AWARDING

Applicants must complete and submit the online Bocconi Scholarship application form, available at www.unibocconi.eu/finaidapplications, by the same deadline as that of their Bocconi on-line admission�s application. Please refer to the deadline indicated in the table below; on-line applications submitted after the proper deadline will be not considered.

Application deadline: 10 January � 10 May 2012

Procedures for awarded students

Candidates awarded a scholarship must complete the following steps (failure to do so will result in the revocation of the scholarship: no exceptions will be made):

1) enroll in Bocconi according to the timeline and methods as laid out by the admissions office, and pay the advance on the 1st installment of 2012/2013 taxes and university fees of � 1.503 (the sum will be reimbursed by the end of January 2013 by Universit� Bocconi);

2) send the following documents within 60 days of the notification of the awarding of the scholarship:

� a printed and signed summary of the scholarship online application received via e-mail;

� a copy of the student�s valid passport;

� For non-Italian household income and assets the following documents must be submitted in original language together with an official translated version in Italian or English and must be legalized and stamped by the relevant local Italian authority (for Italian translations) or legalized with an Apostille stamp (for Italian and/or English translations) in countries where possible:

a document indicating the composition of the student�s family household (please note that the household income and asset will be evaluated considering the family of origin of the student including parents and all those listed in the official family status certification including non-blood relatives;
a copy of tax returns for the calendar year 2010;
certificates declaring the gross annual income of the family in the calendar year 2010. The certification should be issued by the employer of each member of the student�s family household;
if one or more family members owns a company or shares: a Balance sheet up to 31/12/2010, profit and loss account and additional note and a document attesting the number of shares for each family member;
if one or more family members owns real estate as of 31/12/2010: include a document indicating the relevant area in square meters and, if any, documents certifying any mortgages on buildings with indications of the amount not repaid as of 31 December 2010;
if the family lives in a rented house, a copy of the rental contract;
documentation attesting movable assets as of 31 December 2010 (bank accounts, stocks, dividends, shareholdings, portions of assets net of any companies owned, etc).
� For household income and assets in Italy (if any): an ISEE/ISEEU declaration and the D.S.U. (Dichiarazione sostitutiva unica)

The Open Society Foundations / University of Nottingham scholarships aim to provide opportunities for independent postgraduate study in the United Kingdom for students who have demonstrated both academic excellence and the potential to become leaders, decision makers, and opinion formers in their own country. Upon completion of their studies in the UK, scholars are expected to return to their home country to resume their studies or work there. Subject to satisfactory progress, the scholarships lead to the award of a master�s degree.

The scholarships are available for study for:

MPA Public Health
MPH Public Health (International Health)
MA Environmental Management
LLM in Human Rights Law (modules relating to Mental Disability and International Human Rights are available within these courses)
LLM International Law
MA Social and Global Justice
MA Global Citizenship, Identities and Human Rights
MA International Social Policy
Each scholarship provides twelve months� tuition fees at the University of Nottingham, a stipend to cover living costs (for one person only), and return air travel from the scholar�s home country.

Eligibility

The scholarships are open to applicants from Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Egypt, andLebanon.

Applicants must:

be nationals of, and resident in one of the selected countries during the academic year in which they apply for the award; applicants who are temporarily out of the country (for a total period of less than three consecutive months) may be treated as being resident;
display intellectual ability and leadership potential;
already hold (or expect to hold by the time of taking up the award) a degree of an equivalent standard to a good UK second-class Honours degree;
have passed an appropriate English language test by the time of taking up the award;
not have already received or be currently receiving financial benefit from a previous HMG fully funded Scholarship;
return to their home country at the end of their scholarship period to continue their studies / work there.
Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously studied outside of their home country.

Employees, employees� relatives (or former employees who have left employment less than two years before) of local Open Society Foundations representative offices in the region and eligible countries, and the participating universities will not be eligible to apply for these awards.

Application forms are avaialble for download below or can be obtained from your local Open Society Foundations Educational Advising Center or Open Society Foundations representative office in your country.

Applicants will need to complete:

The University Postgraduate Application Form: please read it carefully and enclose all additional documents requested in the application form.
The separate Scholarship Application Form.
The Self-Assessment Form whereby you acknowledge your compliance with the eligibility criteria for this scholarship program.
Deadline

The completed forms and supporting documents must be returned to your local Open Society Foundations representative office no later than February 6, 2012. One original set of the application pack and two photocopies thereof must be submitted.

Selection Process

Short-listed applicants will be invited for an interview and an English language test in their home country during April 2012. Applicants should keep their schedules free for these dates. Applicants will be informed by the local Open Society Foundations representative office whether they have been shortlisted or not. Interviews will be carried out by representatives of the Open Society Foundations. In certain cases, there may also be a panel member representing the interests of the University.

Final awards will be decided jointly by the University and the Open Society Foundations.

Please note that all successful applicants will be invited to attend a one-month preparatory academic writing summer school in August 2012. The Open Society Scholarship Programs� Pre-Academic Summer Program is designed to prepare scholarship grantees for a successful academic experience in the UK. Successful applicants will be provided with the opportunity to refine their research and writing skills through intensive courses in academic writing and social sciences. The exact date and location of the summer school will be available at a later stage in the selection process.
