[lowongan-beasiswa] [INFO] Research Associate or Assistant (Economic Value of Water) for Institute of Water Policy (IWP)

 

The position provides an excellent opportunity to conduct research around the economic valuation in water policy, including producing research papers, assisting and compiling research reports, and coordinating research seminars, workshops, and conferences. . The Research Associate or Assistant (RA) will work closely with their supervisor in selecting the topic of interest and research framework development

Duration:
The position will be full-time for 1 year, with possibility of renewal depending on the quality of work.

About the Project:

Water management and allocation decisions, such as finding new water supply sources, implementing water conservation measures, establishing efficient water pricing, or re-allocating water among current users, require more complete information about the full economic value of water. However, the increasing use of economic valuation and applications in policy analysis often pose technical problems and policy challenges. The objective of this project is to explore the role of economic value of water in various water policy decisions.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

Graduate degree in the areas of environmental economics, natural resources economics, economic policy analysis, or a related field.
Knowledge and interest in the areas of economic valuation of natural resources and cost benefit analysis.
A background or interest in water policy and governance, hydrology, and ecosystems, preferably in Asia.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently
